On The Way Home

It took us FIVE DAYS to get back to Utah! We did stop along the way to spend time with Bryan and Jenna (who are expecting their first very soon) and Randy's mission president in Nauvoo. We had a great time visiting our friends, but we did get pretty bored when we were in the car...

This is the view that we got used to. The "Turn in 153 mi" was just to stay on I-80. That's pretty tough to look at for a few days in a row!

Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures with Bryan and Jenna but we did have so much fun with them! Bryan is in grad school at Northwestern, so they took us for a tour of his campus. It is beautiful and looks like such a fun place to live! We stayed with them for a night and then drove to Nauvoo to visit President and Sister Smith.

The Smiths took us to the last performance of the Nauvoo Pageant! It was delightful!

Here we are after the performance.

Before we left, we had the chance to stop by the old (original) Nauvoo cemetery.

We also visited Joseph Smith's grave site (with Hiram and Emma's) and saw a beautiful butterfly that we had to take a picture of!

We also stopped by Aaron Johnson's home. Aaron Johnson is a relative of Randy's family. Randy discovered his home in Nauvoo a few years ago and we needed a decent picture!
